Someone told me the other day,”You should really start eating healthier,” to which I explained,”My favorite food is bacon. Bacon is from pigs. Pigs eat corn and other veggies. Since you are what you eat, pig is basically a vegetable, therefore, I am a vegetarian. How much healthier should I be?”
Seriously, though, I understand why people fear certain foods.
Diabetes.
High BP.
Heart Disease.
It can be scary- I get it. But what’s the point of living if you’re miserable or weary of every calorie? I mean, honestly- have you SEEN most runway models?
Not smiling. And do you know WHY? Because she was told she had to give up ice cream.
And, hey, I count calories- I just paid A LOT of attention in math class; see, there’s this little thing called “grouping”. I group all my calories together into one plate. Its much more efficient and WAY less time consuming. And, hey- without all that guilt, I FEEL lighter.
In the end, I’m really of the mindset that God gave us all of this for a reason, and if you REALLY think about it, they didn’t have a need for “calorie counting” or “Weight Watchers” in Bible times because people knew how to do it right: eat til you’re full (NOT til you explode), portion control (they called it “famine”- whatever), and exercise.
I know times have changed- for one thing, we’ve got pizza- but the fact remains that if we aren’t lazy, we won’t gain as much weight.
So, there, nameless person who said I should eat right. Eating right isn’t my problem.
Its that I PRIORITIZE, and exercise isn’t one of my priorities.

Amber, I can still fit into the same earrings I wore in high school, so I’m not worried ’bout a thing! LOL! Your post made me laugh!
