I’m a people pleaser. Its an extreme case, really. I work hard at not causing or engaging in any confrontation, lest it cause someone to be mad at me. I don’t even like to voice my unhappiness when a restaurant gets my order wrong. This year I’m beating you all to the punch and posting this.
Yesterday I got out of bed- MY bed- and stepped on a Lego, kicked a Hot Wheel, and tripped over a block all before [...] For the last 6 years (roughly), I’ve had a weekly date night with my bestie, Alli. What started out as a night designated to watching our favorite TV series together gradually became an excuse to hang out, drink coffee, and eat stuff we wouldn’t have to share with our little people, all while speaking in [...] On the Discovery Channel and SyFy, they have shows about Ghost Hunters, Haunted Houses, etc. I think they need to confront a REAL issue that occurs with REAL people and that takes place right here in our own homes: Pol-toy-geists.
I’ll never forget my first experience with a Pol-toy-geist. Camo was a [...] Laundry Day. Its the phrase I mumble to the delivery guy, my neighbors, my son’s friends that come to the door… Laundry day. 2 words that can cover all manner of sins… ok, at least the sin of being in my PJs at 2 in the afternoon… wearing my Happy Bunny slippers… with [...] Today, while I was out shopping, I passed by a rack of size 12s and I thought of you. Just for a moment- because the Mini-Master decided it wasn’t right that I should have my eyes anywhere but on him- but in that moment, a mix of emotions filled me like you wouldn’t believe. I [...] Oh gosh- get your heads out of the gutter, lol. Today was one of those days where its so peaceful- you’re waiting for the other shoe to drop. I sat on the couch, working on my laptop, listening to laughter coming from the boys’ room. It started as giggling and I [...] Its never a simple task- walking Bug to and from school- but in the mornings its the most difficult. Why? Snails. How can such a tiny, slimy creature create an issue? Because of a little game I’ve dubbed “Dodge Snail”. It goes something like this: “Mom! Look out! You [...] Can I tell you a secret? Sometimes I wish I was deaf.
Not completely deaf- just a little. Like Deaf “Lite”. A smidge. Ok, maybe just selectively- like the Natural Disasters. Why? Well, if I was deaf, then right now I’d have silence. Complete, blissful, unaware silence.
